After spending several months trying to get a good photograph of a male Cardinal, which resulted in failure after failure. I was either in too big of a hurry and the photo was blurred, or the bird was in a hurry and I didn't quite catch him.

Yesterday evening we had a very bad storm literally rip through our little town. Portable building tossed and smashed, Trees were over turned, ripped in half, twisted. The power in several areas was out for 12 to 16 hours.

Contrast in plant/shadow directions. A Mimosa tree that has been growing at the corner of our house, has been cut down, torn up, and cut down again, shows just how tenacious they can be. Maybe it has been so stubborn, just so I could share this picture.
